Understanding and arriving at a point of view may be called having a perspective. A definition of perspective is to interpret a situation in a wise and reasonable way. So considering a situation accurately with a fair understanding is one way to keep things in perspective.
There is generally more than one way to view any situation. One way is to judge. That is, we form an opinion about whether a situation is difficult, a challenge, or an adventure. Or we judge something or someone as good or bad. When we judge we do not see or perceive the circumstances impartially.
Conditions change in our life as we evolve. We may act and feel differently as we grow and develop our abilities. One time in our life we may be really focused on one particular goal, and then we get to another chapter and find that it is time to move in a completely different direction and our focus changes.
There isn’t just one thing we get to do in this lifetime. When we allow our life to advance to its greatest potential with awareness and understanding, that is when we will find meaning to what is to be. We can share our light with many people.
Does that make sense?
I love Wayne Dyer’s writings and so many of his quotes. He believed we should follow our innate wisdom to find the real meaning of life. We cannot just wait around for our purpose to show up. With intention and mindfulness, we can identify our gifts and discover our purpose in life, even as it continues to evolve.
Below are a few of my favorite quotes from Wayne Dyer about perspective:
“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”
― Wayne W. Dyer
“When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.”
― Wayne Dyer
“How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.”
― Wayne W. Dyer
I believe a positive attitude with gratitude will always bring abundance into our life. To get to that abundance, we can start with a perspective of understanding and caring.
